I had a look at …
I had a look at these today and I can honestly say – please don’t go waste your time by going past there. The 1 bedroom option is so pathetic – you can barely fit a double bed in the room let alone and bedside tables or chest of drawers. There is no oven (which is standard in every home – or so I thought).

Altogether – I don’t know who would want to live in this place – its literally like a shoe-box and for $500 < per month – you’d be crazy to take it.

1+ the location is very good

Robina may suit you as there is a good busy hospital there and our big new hospital at Parkwood is set to open this year. I live on The Gold Coast. it has become extremely busy and more crime. I take precautions againsty crime and I don’t see it. I feel safe enough I’m not keen on Tugun area The schools are good and of course that depends on the student. Look at properties at Parkwood as well
Runaway bay is nice

The Gold Coast is so nice, and there are so many different suburbs where you can experience different lifestyles that I’m sure you could find a good spot for you and you’re family. You can move to Surfers Paradise if you want hustle and bustle and be close to the beach, or move to one of the suburbs 10-15 minutes out like Southport or Burleigh.

If you’re really concerned about the areas I would suggest looking into a few Gold Coast rental properties and just drive around the area, talk to some locals, visit the schools, etc. you should be pleasantly surprised.

A better bet for you, I think, would be the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane. The Gold Coast is very touristy and I wouldn't want to live there although many people do. The Gold Coast will host the Commonwealth Games in six years which is something to look forward to. Queensland does it very well if the Brisbane games are anything to go by. Western Sydney is a huge area and many parts of it are excellent and very suitable for raising children. There are pockets with a poor reputation but most of it is fine. Perhaps you are just in the wrong area.
